(500) Days Of Summer

Alas 500 Days of Summer! I have been anxiously awaiting release of this film and I must say it exceeded and went beyond any of my expectations. It is not a love story but a film promising to be about love. Greeting card writer Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) falls for new assistant Summer (Zoey Deschanel) in an unconventional story telling of a post modern love story. The script follows the course of their relationship in non-chronological order reflecting on specific days and dissecting their most happy moments to the evidences of where everything went wrong.

From the first sentence of dialogue I was captivated. It's funny, sad, and enchanting. The most importantly delectable aspect of this film? The soundtrack! Each song fit perfectly into its scene becoming its own narration. Director Marc Webb's feature film debut was nothing short of near perfection. Okay, okay, I may be raving on a little strong; simply, I loved it.
